louisville engagement, katey & rob

When the day started, the weather on my iPhone said sunny and high of 60.  The clouds kept the sun away and the sunny 60 degree day turned into a chilly 47.  Yuck!  But Katey and Rob are awesome sports!  We laughed our way through the session.  Now I can't wait for their wedding in August.

This shot is for my grandma.  She's always correcting how I pronounce Louisville.  (I live here, I can say it how I want, amen?)

As we were heading back to the parking lot, Rob surprised us with a flying leap.  I wasn't in ideal position to capture his mad ups, but I had to post the shot anyway.

sarah & andy, the slideshow

I've gotten a lot of emails about the slideshow so I thought I'd share another one.  This wedding was hot!
Sarah and Andy had an amazing chemistry all day long that was so much fun to document.  Enjoy the
images!

lauren & bruce, the slideshow

I don't think I've ever posted more than 20 or so images from a wedding on the blog.  It's time for that to
change!  Click on the image below to see 100 images from Lauren and Bruce's wedding earlier this year.
They had an awesome wedding at the Headley Whitney Museum in Lexington (a GREAT spot to have an
outdoor wedding!)  It's my goal at every wedding I shoot to artistically document the wedding story.  Little
moments, big moments, moments you didn't even know happened.  When pieced together, these
moments tell a story that is 100% unique to the bride and groom.  Hopefully these images accomplish
that goal.

The slideshow has music, so crank your speakers up, grab a bowl of popcorn and enjoy!  Or if you're at
work, press the mute button and make sure your boss is out of the room.  :-)

vanessa & will in Louisville Bride Magazine

Eight days into the New Year and I couldn't be more excited about 2008.  Michigan beat Florida in their bowl game sending Lloyd Carr into retirement with a big win against a great team.  (I'm a big Michigan Wolverine fan so that really made my day!)  And Vanessa and Will are featured in the winter issue of Louisville Bride.  The magazine is hot off the press.  I'm really happy for Vanessa and Will.  They are seriously a very sweet couple who have a wonderful story that is just beginning.

louisville wedding, sarah & andy

What a way to close out 2007!  Sarah and Andy had a beautiful Jewish/Christian wedding at the Henry Clay on December 29th.  They have an absolutely awesome engagement story that I got to hear when I met them at my home gallery several months ago.  It should be in a wedding magazine (right along with their wedding!)  I knew immediately that there wedding would be fantastic!

Andy (right) and his groomsmen played some cards before the ceremony.  He lost all his chips (lifesavers) early in the game.

Wayne Esterle took care of the amazing decor.  He is hands down the best flower designer I've worked with.

I love Sarah's expression looking toward Andy's parents as they are welcomed into the reception.
