louisville wedding, kara & justin
On Saturday, I shot Kara and Justin's wedding in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The wedding had dozens of really funny moments that had me cracking up all day. (Most of them had to do with guests doing crazy things at the reception.) Kara and Justin are wonderful people that really enjoy life and one another, which made shooting the wedding so much fun. It was one of those weddings where I left the reception, rolled down the windows in my car, cranked up some country music and just thanked God for life and my family.
Figuring out how to get into the dress.
Justin wonders what side to put the flower on.
Liked the lighting/shadows in this shot.
I've already decided that we're doing this to Lerran's hair once she grows some!
Getting the aisle runner to cooperate turned into one of the funniest ceremony moments I've ever photographed. First the tape came off. No problem, just step on it, right?
Next, these poor ushers (who handled everything so gracefully!) discovered pins still embedded into the rolled fabric.
Everybody, including grandma, had a good laugh.
A detail shot during the ceremony.
Justin had difficulty getting his candle lit.
The bridal party was so much fun.
The grooms cake was a Porsche!
A funny moment during the best man's speech.
Kara's dad had some serious moves.
Kara got a huge hug when this bridesmaid caught the bouquet.
The band's name was New Breed. They were such entertainers, especially when their lead busted out some Michael Jackson.
Kara's uncle (I think) stole the hat and did his best Michael Jackson as well.
