louisville wedding, jessica & ethan
Jessica & Ethan got married at the newly renovated Henry Clay downtown. I was really excited to shoot this wedding because I knew how much fun Jessica and Ethan were and it was my first wedding at the Henry Clay. Jessica & Ethan commissioned the talented Arnie Levine to bring their vision to life. As you can tell from the photographs, the wedding was absolutely incredible on all accounts.
While Jessica was getting her makeup on, she let me take her engagement ring. I nearly ran off with it. Future brides, that's a joke. I would never do such a thing. :-)
I also had some time to check out the details in the Grand Ballroom.
Jessica showing Ethan's mom the Hebrew inscriptions on the handmade ketubah.
As Jessica got her dress down, the excitement really hit.
Ethan was all smiles when he saw Jessica before the ceremony.
Jessica's two nephews being ridiculously cute.
Here they are trying on the yarmulkes before the wedding.
During the signing of the ketubah.
I love how there is so much going on in this image.
Jessica's mother and father greeted her halfway down the aisle and then walked with her toward the chuppah.
I love Jewish weddings because the family is so close to the couple during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we went onto this romantic terrace for a few quick portraits.
The staff puts the finishing touches on the Grand Ballroom.
I loved how the room lights and candles added to this detail shot.
Can I post one more detail shot of the room? It was just so gorgeous!
Jessica and her mom were bringing sexy back.
The Chicago-based band, Front of House, was insanely talented and kept the party going non-stop.
Ethan's speech rivaled the tales of Chaucer, honoring their families and his new bride.
Everybody was rolling during Ethan's speech as he recounted the trials Jessica's family put him through to earn their favor.
If you've never been to a Jewish wedding, you don't know how much fun it is to be a part of the hora.
I love this shot of Jessica and Ethan being tossed up in the air by their friends.
Congratulations Jessica and Ethan! Thank you for letting me be a part of such an important day in your lives. See you soon and have fun in Africa!
